About me
A little bit about me
Whatever has brought you here, you do not have to face it alone. I am a compassionate and relational counsellor offering counselling for adults, online and in person.

Hello, I’m Denise
Through Mind Grace Therapy, I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted. I believe every person has their own unique story, and that counselling should be shaped around you.
Through my training and counselling experience, I have had the privilege of supporting adults as they navigate a range of life experiences and challenges.
Working with people over many years has strengthened my belief in meeting each person as an individual. I bring warmth, empathy and openness to my practice, and I am committed to creating a relationship where you feel respected, supported and accepted.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and ethical practice.

My journey
From movement and mindfulness to counselling
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over twelve years supporting people’s wellbeing through my Pilates, yoga and mindfulness business. I had the privilege of working with people from many different backgrounds and life stages, creating spaces where they could reconnect with themselves, build confidence and support their overall wellbeing.
Through this work I developed a strong appreciation of the connection between physical and emotional wellbeing, and became increasingly interested in the experiences, thoughts and feelings that shape how we see ourselves. This naturally led me towards counselling.
Today I bring together my experience of wellbeing, mindfulness and movement with my counselling training to offer a compassionate, relational and holistic approach.
Counselling is a collaborative journey built on trust, openness and understanding.
My approach
No single way of working suits everyone
My approach is pluralistic, which means I do not believe there is one single way of working that suits everyone. Every person is different, with their own history, values, strengths and challenges, and therapy should be tailored around you.
My role is not to tell you what you should do or provide all the answers, but to walk alongside you as we develop a deeper understanding of your experiences and explore possibilities for change.
Depending on your needs, our work together may involve exploring thoughts and patterns that affect how you feel, developing greater self-awareness, building self-compassion, or finding ways to navigate difficult emotions and experiences.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including:
